Kayla | 2011 Senior
There’s something about shooting a High School Senior. Not sure if it’s their confidence or what; but shooting seniors are SO MUCH FUN! Kayla was probably my easiest senior! She’s got the model poses DOWN! I didn’t have to tell her where to look, or to fix her hands, or anything. We finished her whole session in under an hour! Good Luck this year Kayla!!

Possibly my favorite. Love one’s that aren’t paying attention that I am there. I got her genuine laugh. Best part is that she’s laughing at her dad. :) So sweet.
This was awesome! She stood there, just about to strike her model-esque pose, then the tide came up!
…But she was able to work with the 58 degree ocean water.
Taylin + Scarlett + Madeline
This is Taylin, Scarlett and Madeline. They are all cousins. The cutest, ever.

Last weekend we got to photograph this awesome wedding at Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach. It was such a sweet wedding with all of their family and closest friends. Only 38 guests. Everything was so perfect and meaningful.

5 years old | Riley
This is Shannon.
We met in 1st grade. Maybe even Kindergarten. But first grade is where it started. We became instantly best friends. There were lots of play dates, dress ups and sleepovers over the years. In 5th grade she moved. It felt like she moved to another country. But she only moved 15 minutes away. We remained friends. We were even in a bowling league together. Once High School began, we slowly fell apart.
Over 10 years later, we found each other on MySpace. Then on Facebook. Just after my first year at Biola, I started working at TGIFriday’s (I was so cool! and no, I did not have to wear flare!) Turns out, Shannon began working at The Roadhouse Grill which was in the same center. Shannon would come to our bar with her co-workers after she got off. It was great, that we were able to catch up.
A few years ago, she began dating a guy that I worked with back in my TGIFriday’s days. Such a small world. He has a sweet little 5 year old named Riley. So for Father’s Day we took some pictures for Riley’s Daddy.

Shannon is so good with Riley and they have such a sweet bond. Plus Riley LOVES Shannon’s dog, Daisy. :)

About your photographer…
This is me.
How did you get into photography? I have always had a love for photography for as long as I can remember. It wasn’t until my daughter was born, that I got inspiration and confidence to turn my hobby into a profession. Im 2009, I worked for Kimberlee West Photography as her Associate Photographer and learned more than I could ever had imagined. I am where I am professionally, because of Kimberlee.
How would you describe your style of photography? My style is laid back photojournalistic. I let you do your thing, and I capture it all. All my sessions are full of laughing and comfort. Be prepared to have some fun with me :)
What can’t you live without? Easy. Family and my camera :)
What do you specialize in? I specialize in kids. I also love to photograph Newborns, Couples and Families. I have done a handful of weddings too!!
Do you travel for photography? Yes. I would love to travel to meet you for your session. If you’re interested, email me, and I will send you more info on that pricing.
Do you choose the location of our session for us? Nope! I would rather you choose what is natural and comfortable for you. I will never tell you where we will be having our session. If you are open for options, I will gladly give you some ideas.
What’s your most memorable photography experience? My very first paid session. It was horrible. Everything went wrong. Everything! After I left, I prayed, thanking the Lord for everything went wrong. No session could be as bad. I experienced the worse. It was a HUGE learning step for me. :)
How much time will you spend with us during our session? I will spend about an hour to an hour and a half with you, getting the best pictures I can.
When will we expect our proofs? No longer than 2 weeks. You will receive an email from me with a link to view your slideshow.
What’s your post processing like? I use Lightroom and LOVE it. It has easily sped up my workflow!

Do you have kids?: Yes. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Riley Rae.
Do you like your handwriting? I used to. I don’t do a lot of hand writing anymore, so it’s gotten sloppy over the years.
What’s your favorite coffee?: Carmel Mocchiato.
Do you untie your shoes before taking them off?: No. I wear lots of converse shoes, and those are so easy to slip right off. :)
What’s your favorite Ice Cream?: Peppermint Ice Cream. Unfortunately that flavor is seasonal. So off-season its either mint + chip, or Rocky Road.
Last thing you ate?: Kettle Corn at the street fair.
What are you listening to right now?: My husband watching TV.
What’s your favorite smell?: Riley’s shampoo.
Hair color?: Blonde (this month.)
Favorite dessert?: Apple Crisp. It’s GOTTA have vanilla ice cream. I won’t eat it, if it’s not a la mode! :)
What book are you reading?: I just finished Tori Spellings’s new book ( i know, i know.) So I am ready to pick up a new one. Any suggestions?
What’s your favorite sound?: Marky (my husband) and Riley playing and laughing. Easily my favorite sound.

Baby Owen
Just before Father’s Day I got to photograph this precious little boy, Owen. He is almost 4 months old and just a happy little baby!!! I just love this session!!
Pretty sure this one is my favorite. I love how happy and beautiful Owen’s mommy is. :)
Galindo Family!
